Backups, Monitoring and CI/CD — Hosting DevOps service
Professional design, setup and continuous monitoring of backup systems, disaster recovery and automated CI/CD pipelines. The goal: stability 24/7/365, predictable releases and minimal risk of data loss.
Main advantages
Reliable backups
3-2-1 strategy, offsite/immutable backups, encryption and test recoveries.
Continuous monitoring
We monitor backup tasks, capacity, repository health and SLA alarms.
Mature CI/CD
GitOps, blue/green and canary releases, automated checks and safe rollbacks.
What the service includes
Backups & recovery
- RPO/RTO evaluation and retention policy definition.
- 3-2-1 model: 3 copies, 2 different media, 1 offsite/cloud.
- Immutable/object storage, deduplication and compression.
- Encryption during transfer and at rest, key/secret management.
- Planning and testing of recoveries (drills, game days).
- Monitoring of tasks, capacity and correctness of snapshots.
- Documented procedures for disaster recovery (DR runbooks).
CI/CD & automation
- Pipelines design: build, tests, security, release, rollback.
- GitOps with Argo CD/Flux, IaC with Ansible/Terraform.
- Blue/green & canary deployments, progressive delivery.
- Quality gates: linting, unit/integration tests, SBOM.
- Dependency and container image scanning (supply-chain).
- Access and approval policies, audit logging, traceability.
- Continuous monitoring: metrics, logs, alerts, SLI/SLO.
Security, compliance and risks
We follow best practices, compatible with ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR — minimal privileges, MFA, segmentation, audit and vulnerability management. For increased risk of hacker attacks (ransomware, supply‑chain, insider access) we recommend additional controls such as WAF/IDS/IPS, EDR/AV, vault for secrets, immutable backup layers and extended monitoring. Note: some of these solutions require additional licenses and can lead to monthly additional costs according to the selected software and scale.
Methodology and best practices
Backups
- 3-2-1(+0): immutable layer and offline copy.
- Regular test recoveries and backup validation.
- Retention policies and lifecycle management.
CI/CD
- Trunk-based development and peer review.
- Automated tests and security gates before production.
- Progressive deployment and quick rollback in case of problems.
Monitoring
- SLI/SLO and alarms with clear thresholds.
- Runbooks, postmortems, continuous improvement.
- Drift detection for IaC and configurations.
